Neuropsychology

A branch of psychology specialising in understanding the integration between brain structures and behaviour. It is based on psychological observations on behaviour and the mind using neurological assessments on brain function, cognition and emotion. A neuropsychologist can address memory issues, mood disturbances, learning difficulties and nervous system dysfunction, which can arise following stroke, traumatic injuries, and neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
