Mr Ron Jithoo OAM

Mr Ron Jithoo OAM is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, experienced in the treatment and management of the full range of cranial and spinal neurological conditions. He has an extensive interest in cranial and spinal trauma, anterior spinal surgery including surgery for degenerative conditions, and the application of spinal cord stimulation for chronic pain syndromes.

Mr Jithoo maintains an active independent medicolegal practice across Victorian and Commonwealth compensation jurisdictions. He is an accredited Independent Impairment Assessor (AMA Guides, 4th Edition), holds statutory ministerial appointments to the Medical Panels Victoria (WorkCover) and the Veterans’ Review Board, and provides expert opinion in personal injury, transport accident, workers’ compensation, veterans’ entitlement, and medical negligence matters. He was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in January 2026 for service to neurosurgery and military medicine.
