Drug and Alcohol Counselling

Drug and alcohol (and other prescription drugs, illicit substances, etc) counsellors may include a variety of health professionals, such as psychologists, general practitioners, consultant physicians, psychiatrists and social workers. Their role is to support positive behavioural change in people affected by addiction through providing evidence-based therapies via individual, group and family counselling interventions. Services focus on working collaboratively with clients and their families and providing recovery-oriented care.
