Executive summary

Dr Philip Jumeau is a senior, experienced, Australian trained (Victoria) ENT, Head and Neck Surgeon (RACS 2005) with over 14 years’ experience as a qualified generalist ENT Surgeon in rural Queensland before relocating back to Melbourne in 2019.

In Queensland he had extensive experience in rural, remote, outreach and aid surgery, working often with Indigenous and international communities (Solomons, Fiji, Micronesia, Seychelles). Interests were always in Rhinology and Otology. He was the main service provider in Far North Queensland and co-ordinated training, supervision and surgical activities. Over this time in Queensland, he kept working and teaching at Monash Health regularly.

In 2019, he returned full-time to Melbourne to complete 2 further years of training in complex nasal reconstruction with Professor Anthony Holmes (Cranio-Facial Surgery) and continues to work, teach, lecture and study exclusively within the field of rhinoplasty/nasal reconstruction. His private practice is based in East Melbourne and he works privately at Epworth and publicly at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital but has worked at Monash, Alfred Health and Royal Melbourne networks in this subspecialty.

Dr Jumeau is considered a leader in his field, with recent highlights being on faculty at the Global Rhinoplasty Masters in Rio, Brazil 2025 (And Berlin 2023), The European Society of Facial Plastic Surgery conference, Dublin, Ireland 2025, the past three Sydney Triennial Rhinoplasty Symposia (2018,2022, 2025), the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery 2024 and the Cosmetic Physicians College of Australasia AGM 2024. Dr Jumeau actively publishes on rhinoplasty and teaches Plastic and ENT Surgeons on a weekly basis.
