Dr Thandavan Raj

Dr Raj Thandavan is a highly experienced Consultant ENT Surgeon with over 35 years of expertise in his field. His extensive career spans General Surgery, Head & Neck Surgery, and Otolaryngology.

 

He began his medical journey in General Surgery, training in the UK from 1974 to 1979 before completing his National Service in Singapore between 1979 and 1981. He then transitioned into Head & Neck/ENT Surgery in 1981 in the UK, where he completed his specialist training. In 1990, he was appointed as a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Nepean Hospital.

 

Dr Raj has been a medico-legal assessor for over 25 years, providing medico-legal reports for insurance companies, Comcare and self-insurers for workers compensation and motor accident impairment claims. His expertise has been sought in medical negligence cases, where he has served as an expert witness for both plaintiff and defendant firms. Additionally, he has contributed to court-arranged conclaves, reinforcing his standing as a respected expert in his field.
